Ongoing Dissertation Group Starting in SF in April
The dissertation process can be a challenging process for anyone. Students may struggle with isolation, procrastination and time-management issues, feeling stuck, or moments of low self-esteem. Some people lack adequate support from advisors, school, friends, or family.
I am offering an ongoing weekly support group for graduate students who are in the dissertation phase of their academic career. Learn how to structure your time while getting support from others who are moving through a similar process. This group will utilize co-working and an email list to help members extend support beyond our weekly meetings.
This is an ongoing group open to graduate students of all sexes, genders, and sexual orientations. Members will be screened to assess goodness of fit.
The group is open to 6 – 8 participants at a time, and will begin in April.
Time: Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:30pm
Start Date: April, 2009
Location: San Francisco (2148 Market St. between Church & Sanchez)
Cost: $30 per session per person, $120 per month
Members are asked to commit to one month at a time (with pre-payment made at the beginning of each month).
All members will have a free initial interview. I will also maintain a waiting list in the event that the group is temporarily full.
